Why this blog?

First and foremost I'm not 'a vegan' I do love vegan food, I do aim for around 90% of my diet to be vegan. However I do wear leather, knit with wool, and take local honey to prevent hayfever.

From time to time I also eat meat, and don't feel guilty about it. I have nothing but respect for those who live the full vegan lifestyle, but that's not me. My predominant reason for eating 'veganly' is health benefits, many of which I hope to highlight throughout this blog.

The Soya free comes from my youngest grandson who is allergic to egg and dairy, and also soya, so vegan recipes without soya are ideal for him (although he is also a meat eater). It occurred to me that many others, including some vegans must also have a soya allergy, and with soya being such a big substitute for dairy, I have set about gathering as many recipes which cover this as possible.

The recipes on this blog will all be meat free, dairy free, egg free, and soya free. I hope it can be of some use to you and us alike!
